Personalized Learning Podcast: Episode 1 – CityBridge Foundation rethinks education in Washington, D.C.

The first episode of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation’s Personalized Learning podcast series features the CityBridge Foundation of Washington DC. CityBridge is part of the Next Generation Learning Challenges’ portfolio of regional partners who are incubating local breakthrough model designs. CityBridge in particular has funded 18 next-gen learning schools in the DC area and runs the Education Innovation Fellowship program (many of the Education Innovation Fellows are frequent bloggers here on BlendMyLearning).

The podcast features Margaret Angell (CityBridge, program director) and grantee Scott Cartland (Wheatley Education Campus, principal), and is moderated by Cheryl Niehaus (Dell Foundation, program officer).

You can listen to this first episode of the podcast series here.

    Rant alert:

Is it just me or has “radical school change ” become another do nothing, big talk, profit generating, speaker circuit, pointless cirmcumnavigation with true believers preaching to new believers while we teachers keep slogging it out in the trenches as you developers and theorists let another generation of real breathing human children sink into the mass of mediocrity you insolently float on.

    Is it just me?
